Gintech Energy Corporation(TPE:3514) net sales in March 2013 were NT$1,098 million, an increase of 26.9% month-over-month from NT$865 million in February 2013, and a decrease of 22.9% year-over-year from NT$1,424 million in March 2012.
The sequential increase of monthly revenue was led by strong volume growth as well as pricing improvement while OEM mix only saw a marginal decrease. We started to experience more significant demand from China for our products after the registration process of European Union AD/CVD against China solar products began in early March.
Demand from Japan remains strong as projects granted with the previous FIT can continue to be installed afterwards, and the new FIT can still generate attractive returns. Coupled with the seasonal recovery in the US and Europe, we have also been attempting to increase our workforce on the production facilities to capture the demand upside.
