Gintech Energy Corporation Announced its Unaudited monthly revenue for December 2012

Net sales in December 2012 were NT$777 million, a decrease of 10.7% month-over-month from NT$870 million in November 2012, and a decrease of 41.9% year-over-year from NT$1,338 million in December 2011. On a quarterly basis, net sales in Q4/2012 were NT$2,468 million, a decrease of 27.1% quarter-over-quarter from NT$3,384 million in Q3/2012, and a decrease of 40.3% year-over-year from NT$4,134 million in Q4/2011.
Benefit from rush orders coming in the recent weeks, our shipment was ahead of expectations and above our production plans. We saw the increase in demand for our products from all regions through the course of December 2012, compared to the original forecast in the beginning of the month. Nonetheless, our production schedule was not able to respond in time to meet the volume requirement, and our shipment still declined month over month.
We are seeing strong order intakes and inquiries entering into 2013 as a good start. Our production output is currently constrained by workforce and is not enough to fulfill the demand. We also see the encouraging signs of price stabilization thanks to industry rationalization. Despite the still challenging industry environment, we believe 2013 is a year full of opportunities and Gintech is well positioned to capture any potential positive industry trend.
