Through January 29, 2014, we issued and sold 6,716,966 ADSs under the distribution agency agreement and had received proceeds as
    provided below:

We have agreed to reimburse Credit Suisse for its legal expenses in connection with this offering in an aggregate amount of
    approximately US$250,000.
The ADSs are listed on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol “HSOL.” On January 29, 2014, the last reported sale price of
the ADSs on the Nasdaq Global Select Market was US$2.73 per ADS.

My new sharecount for HSOL is currently 91,4 mil shares. With the added 21 mil to assets/equity I get 131% equity/mcap and 600% assets/mcap while revenue/mcap is 73% (only renesola higher at 133%)

Yeah the offering sure tanked but I do not see a big problem value wise for them. Unlike renesola they are not in financial distress.

I remember that Hobo used to call them out as being un-investable due to their corporate ownership structure and their business decisions which never would really benefit the non corporate shareholders.  I don't know what to make of it but it may be a SNAFU on top of Forests FUBAR.

Btw if you take the number they got 21,5 million and divide by number of new shares (6,7) you get a share price of  3,2... So given the share price today that's actually a good price. Something to ponder perhaps?

No offering not closed. Where did I say that? I am referring to the offering they have done so far. And with a 3,2 $/share price vs market price of 2.8 I'd say that's interesting. What did the issue subscribers know that made them bid 3.2 for the shares when share price yesterday was lower than this? I have no idea myself. Just pure speculation.

Their offering is not closed, and the company made good on reporting the thus far situation. Hobo also invested n LDK and JASO recently, his ability to know what s right or wrong has very little value to be honest to draw opinion on HSOL today.

Anyways, I agree HSOL is a bit desperate in this, and I am not clear why they even done it. Perhpas just to get some money on many releases made in Q4, hoping for a better price lift. At least they had not sold at 2s. I am waiting for GM improvement to move the stock and I have a token stake in the stock. HSOL will not be in the class of CSIQ, JKS or TSL for some time maybe never.

Good point forestg. Still the fact is that the offering was at a higher avg than todays share price. So buying today you get equity gains cheaper than what previous share issue owners paid for it. I do however agree the offering is weak. Should be interesting to follow them q4 if the situation change. I have only a small portion in HSOL so it is just something I look at with a fond interest and nothing more.

so they are probably all over the place. I just can't believe they only managed to sell just $21mil out of $70mil in 2.5 months and near the bottom of its trading range during that time.

I do, they have minimum price and unlimited timeline. While sounding desperate in the initial offering, they at least do not sell at desperate prices (or I assume so) based on such a limited amount. The price since November was on average higher than 3.2, so I would say limitations given to CS would cause this.
