pg6solar 113 Report post Posted February 4, 2018 For those who still hold PEGI positions and were eligible for dividend of .422 per share paid on 1/31/2018, did your cost basic for the positions still open get adjusted?
BrazilUtilityBull 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2018 I bought pegi 2 weeks ago. I don't understand your question and don't know if I am eligible for this dividend either
pg6solar 113 Report post Posted February 5, 2018 The question applies only to those who bought PEGI prior to 12/28/2017 (ex-div dte) and are still holding.

sunnypease 35 Report post Posted March 1, 2018 Curious on your take on PEGI results, Robert. Thanks
dydo 1,558 Report post Posted March 1, 2018 I looked at the results looking for tax assets adjustments. I expected weak numbers and reaction. It is a strong buy and I would if I was not under water with my REITs.
disdaniel 73 Report post Posted March 1, 2018 nibbled a few shares of PEGI at 17.
sunnypease 35 Report post Posted March 1, 2018 Thank you Robert. I looked over the 8k. One number stood out & that was the interest expense. As a % of revs, a little better (lower) than last quarter. I can't figure out what is causing the strong negative reaction. Did you listen to the CC? Maybe something about PTC? I'd like to recommend buying a little bit more to my mother, as she bought in at 22.
pg6solar 113 Report post Posted March 1, 2018 I think PEGI is at levels where some loss on REITs may be warranted.

dydo 1,558 Report post Posted March 2, 2018 the $4 loss, when this was announced in 2016 probably won't be gained today https://finance.yahoo.com/news/pattern-energy-announces-remediation-material-133000774.html

The dividend is 50% greater on PEGI than it is on WELL for the same investment of money. A situation worth monitoring.
pg6solar 113 Report post Posted March 2, 2018 (edited) I bought more PEGI yesterday (now its about 20% of the portfolio, so I'm done buying it). Today (after buying initial position on er/cc plunge) I was buying more DQ. I still have cash available, but started lightning up on heavy JKS position to raise more cash, but will replenish JKS if it gets back to low $17s. If things continue to fall, I will free funds from CSIQ since its upside is capped. DQ is becoming an excellent trading stock and so is JKS. PG, do you still have DQ? or was it just a short term trade? It looks attractive now after the drop from $72. I am thinking of nibbling some here around $45. What do you think? pg6solar 113 Report post Posted March 8, 2018 I do, but am trying to keep at only around 5% of the portfolio. When it deeps, I increase exposure to 10%, then when rips reduce back to 5%.

I was tempted a few times, but did not feel comfortable until under $45 (just in case I get stuck holding it). I will start a small position (like 5%) around $45 and will add around low $43 if it gets there. I will probably take profit with 5% gain or so. dydo 1,558 Report post Posted March 12, 2018 I bought PEGI on Friday for WELL. 50% more dividend and the price was getting up. healthcare REITs very violent.
dydo 1,558 Report post Posted March 15, 2018 GS upholds $22 for PEGI, and the stock drops, naturally.
dydo 1,558 Report post Posted March 17, 2018 In March, BMO Capital lowered PEGI price to $24 form $26. GS held the view of $22 and buy. Macquarie increased the price to $22 from 17.5. I did not know that someone had such low target. Williams Capital had downgraded PEGI to $19 from buy to hold, while the stock was at $17. I like that they entered Japanese market and the solar plants. I expected a bit more on the tax impact and did not see it. Japanese contribution will be interesting to see as they produce higher rates of course. I do not see changes to dividend size but an increase of CAFD, for now, will be good for the company. Interest rates steadied or perhaps on a drop side, could change it still over 7% dividend and steadily recovering to 80% pay out. NEP looks good too . pg6solar 113 Report post Posted March 22 Interesting, I'm planning to trim PEGI holdings by 50% if/when mid $23s will arrive and will sell out if it goes over $25. While dividend is safe (I think 5 "no"s to dividend cut mean "safe"), they still will need money to grow and secondary will certainly take place then.
