I was just checking the website of Intersolar Europe Exhibition which takes place beginning of June in Munich. This year there will be 1096 companies participating, last year 1330 and the year before about 1900. It can be seen that we have some ongoing consolidation in the industry over the whole value chain.
Somebody of this board going there? I am thinking of it, not sure yet.

BTW, today is the Deutsche Bank Investor Conference in NY for the CNs. There might be some more interest in the aftermaths.

This is not a bad rate, when we get to 300 level it will be a significant reduction. Maybe by 2018, there will be 10 companies globally with 6 to 10GW capacity, supplying globe with all solar needs and some 50 living off from relationship with them. I hope for at least 7 Chinese.

The answer to America's power needs: Solar roads

That is an awesome article and a great idea. If it weren't for the damage that some roads take, this seems like a do it tomorrow type idea.. specially out in states with tons of sun and not a lot of traffic...

Skagen (a norwegian found) increasing in YGE. Wondering what the heck they are seeing. YGE has some ties with norwegian research founding so they might know something. IR of yge is by the way down today.

Thats not half of it. Look at predicted future cash cost.
"We expect to further lower our polysilicon cash cost (excluding depreciation) and production cost (including depreciation) to approximately $8.7/kg and $12/kg respectively by the second quarter of 2015. "
Thats China FBR cash costs numbers equivalents they are quoting for simens reactor production. Looks like that sub 18$/kg is going to happen after all.
More expansions:
In addition to the polysilicon capacity expansion to 12,150 MT that is underway, the Company is also considering further capacity expansion at the Xinjiang facility in the medium term, with a goal of expanding capacity to 25,000 MT, subject to market and industry conditions."
If they do 25000 and end up with 12$/kg before opex I think they can do 4$/kg profit at 18$/kg ASP like rec will be doing. So that would at P/E give them a MCAP of 1500 or some 5x current mcap if the google mcap is correct (260 mil usd.)

2M ADS, plus options for 300k more. Is the yahoo float number correct? Thats at 6.9M. That would be a 30% dilution?
edit: Its unclear how many ADS they have outstanding. All sites giving different numbers.

I wonder why people seem to be surprised by DQ's result. If you follow the stock, everything is expected (including the secondary), I mean you cannot expect the company to give her investors a clearer guidance. But it's not a stock for everyone for obvious reasons.
