Good Morning,
I think they had a very good cell GM. I said that yesterday, based on Motech analysis. Model has changed for modules from Q4, but they have sold smartly. Good job. Now I would like to see what ASP. This is good for the industry.

I said $260M and 7-9% GM and got LOLs. behold the power of the high efficiency cell.

If you look at ASP development the sweet started going sweet from february on, so I expect nothing less than a profit in Q2.

Anyone with me?

It would have been better if you put your money into it though if you really believed your numbers, right? I doubt you will see a 10% day from FSLR. So why didn't you?

High efficiency modules contributing. 14% sold to China. 17% to UAE sold in Q1 (via European ports) Cypress II cells ready for sale.

To those who listen to CC. Comments on GM for Q2 and Japan market for rest of 2013 would be highly interesting to hear. Also if the see the boom in cells continue into second half (Q1 was just the start, so I expect it to continue at least in Q2). China market comments would also be interesting. I believe JA care little about EU and US by now.

Anyone know how much of cells JASO sells that are mono based ? Gives an indication of what the ASP for modules are as well. At 100% mono cells sold ASP is around 0.67. At 50% mono sold ASP of modules is around 0.72. I assume 0.4 $/watt for multi cells, 0,52 $/watt for mono cells and that the tolling was all modules. (probably not, but gives a rough estimate of ASP.)

They have 500 MW mono wafer capacity and this is good technology from what I understand. I don't think the cell lines harvest the value created in the ingot step. If anything isn't it easier to work with high quality mono wafers in the cell processing (not sure, actually asking)? Instead I think they should expand mono wafer capacity if they have a special edge here.

0.52 cents. processing down by (0.04) poly 0.03 non-poly 0.01
ASP 0.64 (mono big time) 60% revenue from module.

Those analysts need to buy export data. Just clueless questions, no idea.

Thanks that clears up a few details. ASP of mono cells must then be higher than 0,52 $/watt.

"we take the leadership in the market" then "Japanese customer likes quality, sustainability and post sale service.."
Perhaps Ukrainian customers not as much when you do third party sales from China.

Analysts did not prepare for the call. I suppose two people follow the stock.

0.56 for cell

Holy chit! No wonder JASO's GM skyrocketed and SOL's dived. Where are they shipping those cells? Was it mainly mono? What is the explanation for that high blended cell ASP?

So, you better off buying the module from JASO

0.56 for cell

8 Cents more and you get the whole module ?

I doubt your cell number

Yes I would expect higher cell ASP in Q2 than in Q1. That's why 56 cents in Q1 seems a bit unreal. What are they projecting for 2H?

Also, very critical for the other guys that mainly do multi (Trina et al). Did they sell a lot of multi cells to when achieving that high cell ASP?

I'm in for the long haul, so in no hurry to invest. I like what I see @JASO though. Sure I believed my numbers, I got my JASO modeled at the nitty gritty.
