Yes, I said that now is the time to invest, however I'm not worried about a few weeks more or less. there is still some volatility ahead with the tariff decisions. However I'll jump in before Q2 earnings.

0.56 for cell

8 Cents more and you get the whole module ?

I doubt your cell number
They said ASP at 0.64, but module pricing points to 0.68. (bull's eye for GADP!) Remember they did 5MW of toll. I would think modules sold higher. Mono cells are very high priced in Japan. Do not forget Toshiba is their client.

I like relationship of GADP and the export data. Almost precise amount in reflection of Japanese shipments. sliding on the end part of the month.

Important Factor JA owns Japan!

Would like to hear more about their key product/products that's driving that special niche for them. They seem very confident with maintaining their leading position in Japans Market.

Japan will be a source of Financial Health for Solar Companies. The Data that Odyd clearly shows who the leaders are.!

0.56 for cell

First Kudos to Klothide on his GM and revenues. I would have liked to see his math to see if he was high on volumes vs midrange and what the expect profits and volumes per vertical.

The ultimate though is profits. Based on a loss of $20M projected he missed by $0.36 cents or about what the street numbers missed. I missed high by 12 cents and the 2 analysts following Jaso according to Odyd missed by $0.14

As for the numbers
$056 cells, and $0.64 modules.
$0.52 processing costs?

From a Cost perspective
Module margins were around $0.02 or 3.1% or cost of $0.64 ($.52 +$0.10).
Cell margins appear to be around $0.14 or 25% presuming a 20 cent module processing cost pegging cells at $.42 costs.
Based on this one might speculate that Japanese customers like to make their own modules.

-36.6M, which is 0.93 ADS or reason for a beat in my case.
Littleguy, stop calculating, who put that number below there.

ASP for cells was 0.56 Average selling price for modules was 0.64. Japanese modules sold as much as 0.68-0.70. That number includes toll.

OK better Kudos to you, but your revenues were way low. Oh wait it is all about profits. :)

I explained this (no idea about cells, suspected good return based on Motech). All know-how came from data, plus analysis.

Explo

From the numbers, it appears the profits came from a uniqueness that is Jaso. Tremendous profits on cells from first appearance. The average cost of modules looks to be very low even with the Japan effect of higher ASP. This would imply they are selling below costs in other regions from a cursory look at the numbers. This kind of profit generation in the business model is not translatable to others.

Yes the ASP is higher in Japan which is translatable to others.

Good day to those in Solars.

No they do not, based on the pricing explo and I, are looking at. They have very small spectrum on deliveries. 3 major countries with Japan, being largest. Sure they do explo, they buy cells in China. Any Japanese presence company will do well. That is TSL and CSIQ and Hanwha. SOL has not seen any of it yet.
