Premium for a Mar 6 call strike price 30.5 is around $1.5. Premium for a put same strike price is about $1.5 too. if you buy both, you pay a premium of about $3 or around 10% of stock price. that means that you will make money in the upside or downside if the swing exceeds the 10%. it doesn't mean anything really.

Johnson also offered a parting shot atChinesesolar outfits such asYingli Green Energy(YGE) andTrina Solar(TSL), telling Lee “they are way up today, but they shouldn’t be; their earnings are going to be very disappointing.” “We think you should be fading those stocks on this strength.”

Leading polysilicon makers have suggested they could achieve cash costs at new plants between US$8-13/kg and production costs between US$9-15/kg. These targets are 15-20% lower than current best-of-class maker costs, and considerably lower than industry averages. This implies that much of the polysilicon capacity built previously may struggle to remain competitive, could run at low utilisation or might be shuttered as new capacity comes on-line http://www.pv-tech.org/mobile/blogs/polysilicon_pricing_trends

Axiom analystGordon Johnsonmaintained a Hold rating on JA Solar Holdings (NASDAQ:JASO) today and set a price target of $9. Johnson observed, “JASO posted impressive 3Q14 results, and provided guidance that was similarly encouraging; however, w/ the company’s receivables now at an all-time record high (as well as inventories & payables [or de facto debt]), we are concerned that JASO is extending potentially jeopardous-terms to customers in China to grow sales; given curtailment risks, should JASO not be able to collect on these sales, we see risk; HOLD.” http://www.analystratings.com/2014/11/19/ja-solar-holdings-receives-hold-axiom/

With the added strengths of these new partnerships, we are revising our full-year 2014 project development guidance upwards from 400MW to above 600MW. Our downstream capacity will exceed 800MW by end 2014. Looking forward, we intend to continue taking full advantage of our leading position in the Chinese solar power infrastructure sector to further grow our downstream business."
