I agree, well if explosion means back to fair value per business model. I am having difficulty trying to decide when to jump from the SUNE yco's to the new yCO's (BEP, NYLD, ???) If one thing can be certain, I will screw it up.

Not sure if this is news, TERP selling itself this month? http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-08-04/brookfield-renewable-weighing-sale-of-canadian-irish-wind-farms Brookfield and its partner Appaloosa Management LP joined forces last month to bid for a stake in the company held by SunEdison Inc. that would have given the partners control of the company. Brookfield and Appaloosa currently hold about 22 percent of the company’s Class A shares... TerraForm is now planning a formal auction in September to sell itself, people familiar with the matter said last week.

I got a partial fill below 15. I am hoping to still make some gains on TERP and GLBL exits (today?) to raise more cash for what will be a bumpy ride.

I am skeptical, maybe there are some caveats in Germany. I can't fathom anyone reaching into my account after 3 weeks to take cash

For all the drama, my yieldco buys are still pretty good. TERP is outperforming CSIQ and JKS. GLBL is "only" down 22%. I would be less patient if I saw other opportunities. I would consider adding more CN if they revisited recent lows. My patience will also wear if volume goes away and we stagnate. For now the roller coaster keeps it fun.

LOL, well SUNE has some volume behind its 50%+ PM this morning. Yieldcos up, but no volume yet

The Vivent deal is amended to $7.89 cash + $4.06 per share in SUNE (about 1:1 at today's prices?) + $3.3 per share in convertible notes for a total of $15.25 or 67% premium to today's share price, which suggests significant lack of conviction that the deal will go through by March 2016 Also Blackstone has given Vivent the option to give public shareholders all cash in lieu of equity. Is anyone considering picking up VSLR for the potential here? A hedge against TERP?

All equatorial sun is not created equal; the American southwest is better solar resource than Brazil. In the case of the Brazilian highlands the direct normal radiation of the tropical sun is mitigated by extensive cloud cover during rainy season (winter), giving variations that are very similar to seasons at more extreme latitudes. Atmospheric variations shift maximum intensity from the equator. On land maximum intensity isn't usually the equator, but in fact slightly north of the Tropic of Cancer and closer to the US than Brazil. Surface radiation surveys show this.

I agree somewhat... 10 years of FiT is great. Deliquent payments would be a better first step However there is no comparison between China and a zero like Romania. There was never any doubt that China was/is serious about building the biggest clean energy grid on the planet. At some point they will have to reconcile state goals with market expectations.
