TASC launches campaign to save solar ITC: http://www.pv-tech.org/news/tasc_launches_campaign_to_save_solar_itc
http://www.weareteamsolar.com/
Key points:
Promote job growthPromote lowered electricity billsPromote national securityNothing about climate. All non-nay-sayers no that point already, so it smart to focus on points no one can argue with. Energy independence on different scales are sub points.

thanks. That 100 GW average p.a. solar installs between 2020 and 2040 is good contribution to global demand.

Great! Clear messages of embracing solar as a key solution to the energy problems of the 21st century has now been sent from the two major consumers in the world. I think it will finally happen in Paris in December. Make sure to have your tickets for the show.

Looks like China is projected to install 20 GW this year, with massive growth already in first half. This puts context to export numbers. If market doesn't get the memo by being too busy staring at oil quotes it might be opportunity to buy here.

Early indications are that the NEA will seek to increase the targeted solar PV installation figure from 100 GW by 2020 to a far higher figure, with some sources suggesting 200 GW by that date.

Important to understand is that this means the planned average annual installs coming 5 years increase from around 12 GW to 32 GW. If CN4 don't go nuts on this I don't know what will.

I have to agree though, odyd. It's not fun to watch FSLR, but all CN4 except JASO are worse off.

yeah, it looks like the M&A race is on now in the sector. Those waiting on the sidelines might feel some stress to make their move now. A lot of big energy companies that need to start to think about their future.

It might be an interesting strategy to have quite short-term expectations that are not TA based and simply cut the ones that are not doing it for you early on and move to another favorite and see if that one does a better job. To me these US stock exchanges and these solars in particular trade too crazy for me to succeed with such short-term requirements (it is hard for me to read anything into the trading since it is quite inconsistent).

Today FSLR outperform SUNE at least. Nice. Market's got a new idea every day. Don't listen too much to it.

I think you sometimes read too much of company or even stock health from stock's trading. These stocks go up and down. It usually has no implication on company health. CSIQ swings between high teens and mid 40's without the health of the company changing. It's just an indecisive market. Sometimes it has meaning for stock valuation health, e.g. if CSIQ moves from $45 to $35 it might be a valuation driven move. If it goes from $25 to $18 it might just be a fear emotion driven move by those with too little clue to hold with confidence. Market tends to not buy good news that's behind it (e.g. FSLR yieldco launch) and tend to sell bad news ahead (e.g. turbulent US market with rush before crash ITC expiration expectations). It fears the future and don't cheer the past. And sometimes it is just confused and might think Q1 results signalled a turn of fortune for FSLR. I cheer the past though, but mainly because it proves quality and sets up a good future not for the news "action". I don't buy the coming yieldco launch news hype. I buy the value of having a yieldco for example as well as the value of a strong BS built by a strong management that will use it for future strong investments.
To me it is impossible to pick based on market emotions. I pick what I'm comfortable with. I don't care if the market sells it. It is likely why I bought it and you can't hit absolute bottom every time. Add in chunks in cheap area. The worst thing for me would be to sell something that I believe in because it has gone down (but will go up) to buy something that I don't understand that has gone up (but will go down).
3 months ago FSLR traded at $65. At that time I think we would have liked the thought that it would slide down to this range for us to enter. This is what happened and I like it.
