Summary of May sales

Compare Q4 results versus 2 months of Q2. Even in comparison to Q1, the Q2 is going to be a blowout result.

So why are the listed Tawainese stocks not reacting to this? Do you think this type of information is baked into the share price or do you think preople are really oblivious to this publicly announced information? I keep feeling like we think we are smarter/more knowledgable than the street, but perhaps without profits people just don't really care. How else can on explain that CSIQ is back to essentially pre earning share price? Momentum traders come and go but without profits, investors tend not to linger.

@BIPV Investor

Isn't that obvious, EU tariffs are much lower than expected and the Taiwanese solar industry has the most to lose if there is a deal between EU <-> China <-> US

Regarding CSIQ, the chart is still looking very good, could break out again in the next days.

Momentum traders come and go but without profits, investors tend not to linger.

As an investor I'd like to think it is the opposite. Investors get in before the profits arrive (i.e. while PE look bad and price-to-book look good), while the momentum guys enter after profits have arrived and PE looks good but price-to-book starts to get inflated.

I don't know but given that they are a traditional cell player I would say 80-90%. One surprise to me is that looking at their data sheets their modules suck like there's no tomorrow. Standard multi only 235-245W and standard mono only 245-255W.

JA blows them away both in terms of efficiency and cost !

GET reports 2012 year

http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20130625PD202.html
Look at the total amount of revenue. Large in Taiwan, small in China scale of the organization, yet the capacity large

We have two companies reporting revenue for June, Solartech and Danen.
Q2 over Q1 revenue growth 44.7% and 49.7%, MoM is small single digit and high teens in same order.
For YTD revenue is neg 30% and 38%,
I would suggest to check the Q1 2013 results for Chinese and compare them with following:
Q1 Taiwanese companies
Gintech YoYRev % -26%, GM -11.82%
NSP YoyRev % -16.5%, GM -11.37%
GET YoYRev % -4.8%, GM -19.0%
Motech YoYRev % -8.6%, GM -8%

JKS, SOL, HSOL looks great on the Q1 revenue growth. All but SOL and LDK made positive GM.
Few questions come up, how is this cell boom not helping Taiwanese?
How is the rev growth from Q2 to Q1 can template for Chinese?
Q2 revenue for Taiwanese had improved their YTD for the two companies, is this going to reflect in Chinese results?

Klothilde would you happen to know what percentage of Motechs sales are Solar Cells?

84.68% Cells, and others include modules, inverters, they were also in the designing and engineering of PV systems.
Their subsidiaries like Nobel Town which holds Motech Americas, Itogumi Motech do Modules. Others like Power Islands also do wafer in China.

By the way, don't think that I know something, which can/can't be a big mistake, I look up stuff!
