I had SERIOUS withdrawal symptoms without the forum today.

I wish there was SPVI anonymous.

Great to be back!

Is it possible that when a reply is posted in a topic, it shows as bold (unread) like on the previous board?

And that it jumps to the top of the posts.

Thanks.

Whenever you have a new post, it becomes last post. If you refresh your browser it will go bold on any summary list. The add on feature is that you can go to the topic and see first and last post. That's cool

Great to be back or rather at the new home. Had to resort to Yahoo yesterday and that was not a nice return.

I have a question...  what is the meaning of the characters above our avatars?  Are they Chinese letters and if so, what does it say?

Yes,

Yet one has to go to the right, go to the drop down menu, click on "recent posts" and then see the most recent. and it's not in bold (although it doesn't have to be as you know it's the most recent...)

The set-up was much better on the former site, where all one had to do was go the the forums and right away the most recent post was in bold at the center of the screen.

How about the tag "view new content" on the right side at the top. Explore a bit. I know a lot about forums now, and this was is the best

A lot of forums were already bold for me. I'm not sure why, but in most forums the few latest post were not tagged as read so I have to click through those and then I should see only the truly new posts as bold after that.

I still like the former format, yet I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Thanks.

so I have to click through those

Half way through I noticed the "Mark this forum as read" options, which saves some time.

Odyd,

How about on the right side, it always starts with, "latest posts" instead of, "recent topics"

I played around a bit and this is what I did and I found this as best solution to View recent posts immediately. In upper right hand corner I clicked view new content. Then on left hand side I selected I selected view all new content in last 24 hours. I bookmarked this page on both iPad and iPhone. This is quickest way to bring up the new posts in order.

That would be a good default setting...

I will try your method Pop.

What about auto spell check?

Also I have an iPhone 5. I followed the steps in quote and on iPhone I clicked lower left hand corner to switch from "full version" to mobile then booked marked it like I did above but under mobile version. It's beautiful on iPhone, 1-click bookmark and it brings me to all new posts in last 24 hours.

Get grammarly (google it)  it is free and will look after all your forms on the internet.

I will make an access for Registered Users to post here on this forum. REC forum will also allow those users to post. This is for Eystein.

I really like view new content at the right top, but I see if I can get posts in the box the way you ike.
