the fact that LDK is moving at the same percentile rate before tomorrow is one of the life mysteries to me.

LDK is still trading at higher PPS than JASO pre split. Amazing, no that JA is at $7, but LDK is at $1.50.

LDK Market Cap - 261 Mil
JASO Market Cap - 277 Mil

These are the real numbers you need to look at, stock price is relative based off number of outstanding shares * price of stock. JASO is still a bigger company in terms of market cap

I have a feeling LDK is going to surprise alot of people. I know the investments by FULALI is piece meal as some people would say. However, This late in the game i don't think anyone in their right mind would invest ~50 mil into a company in 6 months thinking its going to go bankrupt. Listening to their conference call last Q they expected to get a loan of about 300 mil which should solve some of the liquidity issues, at least in the near term. We should hear more about this tomorrow.

Their book value is negative 500m and then that is already overvalued up to 1500m. So paying 250m for negative 2 billion value looks strange. All but their share price have already imploded. Something weird is going on. LDK and Xinyu refuse to admit failure. I'm waiting to hear what CDB will do.

LDK and STP are poor-man trading stocks. So they buy big lots and sell at few cents gains. Both trading on fumes. The only surprise for LDK will be no announcement of bankruptcy. There is nothing to surprise with based on sales of modules or wafer.

That's news to me. :)For those who did not get it, JA at the time of post was at $1.40 (pre-split). LDK is a zombie and a shadow of what it once was. (hint LDK should be a lot less, since LDK sold almost all its assets and its module exports are non-existent).

TSL had really poor result in Q1, but JKS should not be left behind in this fashion. I think someone is getting this and moving JKS above rate of TSL right now

Obama and Xi Jinping agreed on a joint effort to combat climate change

Quoted from USA today, No major announcements were expected to come out of the summit, but after the two leaders concluded their talks, the White House announced that Obama and Xi had agreed on a joint effort to combat climate change, specifically the production of "super greenhouse gases."

Top aides expressed satisfaction with how the meetings went, while noting that much work needs to be done to bridge the divide on some critical issues. Overall, Obama and Xi spent about eight hours together in talks, Donilon said.

Thanks. Yes this should be it. Making PV expensive for eachother is not exactly a joint effort to combat climate change.

Explo There is NOTHING here that says to make PV expensive Quite the Contrary & My take it is very positive and exactly perhaps the reason we are in Rally.

Exactly The market sentiment driving the Chi11 stocks higher today is based on hope that US and China might stop making PV expensive for eachorther (US import tariffs on Chinese cells and planned high Chinese import tariffs on US polysilicon) after talks about joint effort to combat climate change.

I think this is a very distant and wish for a reason (the US). They closed last week on the sour tone and perception of the loss to the EU. Now Hollande talks about solution while his ministry voted yes to tariffs. The wine play was a good one. but do not forget luxury items like cosmetics, bags, clothing etc exported for the huge middle and high class of the Chinese.
I think that CSIQ announcing Samsung project, a company viewed as the competition in the module area, is a huge win to Chinese strong presence in the solar markets globally. As good as Chint/Astro and LG working on projects in Romania.
I saw mostly negative media coverage of solar with little or no respect to the US visit. Chinese Premier after Europe went directly to Jinglong factory and told workers there to create better domestic market and investment in technology is a solution to EU issue.
