REC in India

Details here, 21,520 and 20,480, seem 232W avg first farm the other 244W between 14.2 and 15% efficiency,

http://www.energymatters.com.au/index.ph…article_id=3575

Article points to 15.8% average but this is the module they are quoting

http://www.energymatters.com.au/images/r…peak-energy.pdf

Friends from REC when I had an interview sent me this pdf (attached) about their Peak modules the ones with 15.8% efficiency Interestingly REC module is larger by about 2.5 cm from Virtus II and that causes a loss of 0.2% efficiency. However this output is about 197 of nominal power vs. 193 in Virtus II

I think the datasheets will be updated soon to better reflect the yield bell curve Eystein calculated for their Q1 guidance. The NOCT/STC is significantly better than solar 11.

What puzzles me a bit is that they don't seem to get much premium for being non-Chinese, but I have no ASP confirmation.

Oh, I think they see the premium. Hard to tell but they are selling in 0.80s per watt, I think, based on the revenue of the solar group. That number is lower as there are systems sales involved as well.

Thanks for clarifying the ASP, this premium confirmation makes the REC Solar case even stronger. Thanks also for the noct data.

Renesola theme has been "More Power for your Dollar". A lot of third parties in USA retailing Virtus modules on the stores like EBay etc. Prices are very appealing for residential as well as commercial. EBay retailing 5KW system for less than $8K...which includes micro replus inverter for each module + free shipping.
