The battle is beginning between regulated power and solar

The arguments are coming louder and stronger as Utilities get impacted by Solar and the policies given. Imagine if net metering was lost and you had to push your extra electricity to the utility at wholesale rates of $0.03-$0.06 and then pay for the current offpeak use rates? All of a sudden Solar would need to cots $0.05 installed per kwhr or at $1.50 end retail in order to make it viable for the consumer.

It is going under way, several fronts, one is the netmetering, the second is time of use billing which is hidden in the article as well.
