Off Topic Main Site Format

I am working this weekend on the upgrade necessary to move the site's CMS to a next version.
Normally this will cause a need for every module, component to be upgraded with it if the version is not supported.
I would like to preserve the format of the front page, despite template being in need of upgrade.
But this creates opportunity
Do you have a feedback what is working from a perspective of the user with the current site or something else could be useful. What to take off and so on.
Let me know honest feedback.
Once again this is not about forum but main site

imo the organization of data on your site could be more logical and intuitive. E.g. from reading the tabs "database", "financials" and "analysis" I don't fully understand the difference in content, and when I go to the tabs I see that in fact there's a lot of logical overlap. E.g. you show financial figures in each three tabs, whereas I would just expect them in the tab "financials".

Ok, thanks for that
Financials was simply to show full year results for groups of companies. Since I am not putting those there any more this will go.
My plan was to have full blow financial statements for each quarter, income , and balance sheet, which could go under analysis and financials. I will eliminate that menu at the end and drop into analysis more likely
Database, is any type of the information having "data" I suppose companies by revenue has the financial context and could be in analysis as that is basically a comparison.
Thanks good points

I made a change to a menu bar, you may want to explore it further.
The transition may prove more difficult than initially thought.

Personally I love the set up the site. Very detailed and informative. Nothing major I would change.

I would like to see the most recent post as the first post on the thread instead of the last. The first post on the thread should be the last post. I don't much like having to scroll down through all of the older posts to see the newest one.

Really? These as well as all forums I know of are already built for that. Learn how to use them. Hint: instead of a topic, click on last poster for the topic you want - you will see the last message first. Of course if you need to see previous message(s) you will need to scroll up, not down. All forums work like that.

Your request does not fit the purpose of this thread, which is for main site. To be honest I am not interested in changing structure of the forum.
pg6solar's suggestion is very useful. You can use many ways from the front page to bring you to recent posts, unread posts, posts since you last sign in etc.
