So this is now 300 MW of China contracts announced after they reported Q3. A huge chunk will hit in Q4 and another chunk will hit in Q1. Take a look at ED for October and they are setting up for a blowout on Q4 guidance they gave...

Looks like CSIQ taking a shot at LI from SOL, directly refuting his comments in this PR... Shawn Qu, chairman and chief executive of Canadian Solar, said: "Clearly, Chinese demand for solar modules going into the first quarter of 2014 remains strong, and based on our planning sessions with major developers and project off takers, we currently expect demand for solar modules in China to exceed 10GW in 2014." http://www.pv-tech.o...ed_10gw_in_2014

CSIQ execution continues. No problem at all defending the price premium.

Cool. Another great win!! As I was saying I thought the Q4 guidance was a bit low on shipments 480-500mw. They had a few big supply deals, and various small ones that should hit Q4 before today's announcement. I wouldnt be surprised if they pre announce a beat "mid range" forecast shipments by over 10% + in Q4 to be in the 540/550MW area.

Their guidance does not include any sales of plants which have additional modules included in shipment.  They will nor be big but even big, but you can see they are producing own capacity. They do not need to build more of it either. They need to sell more to plant business.

Thats right! AS Josh mentioned there will be % of completion Q4 as they noted. How much exactly is unknown. Q4 is shaping nicely. Full year 2014 is going to be awesome. 5.00EPS  would be something and looks quite achievable. Those original spreadsheets by Nano, Josh, and your constant accounting analysis has really been helpful. There should be no reason for this stock to be trading here and hopefully in January things pick up! Thanks for all your analysis and others

Module deliveries will commence in mid-December 2013 and are expected to be completed in January 2014.

So it looks like this might add another ~30MW of shipments to Q4, correct? I know that we won't know for sure how many of these modules are shipped by year end, but I would assume that this deal was not part of the Q4 guidance.

Things are looking really good for CSIQ long term, and now even in the short term. If they can get a power plant sale in Q4 that would be even better. The winter has been pretty harsh down here in Texas, so I can only imagine what is going on in Canada. I would imagine that the testing conditions are extreme and that we might not see a plant sale due to weather conditions. Odyd, how is the weather up in Canada?

It has been like real winter the last week but before that, we had some 60 degree days.  It is not like Winters of old certainly (deep freeze) as we have had weird swings from Winter to unseasonably warm.  Further East, Quebec I know has has some big snowstorms.

I know...  not much help!

That isn't usual is it?  On a side note, I hope to come out your way one day soon.  NW Washington and SW BC.
