Solar Investors Thread

Recommended Posts

When you have a problem and you trying to ask for help with the site, please send a message with description of the problem. "I cannot access the site" is not a description.

What message you see, what http address are you using

Have you cleared history from your browser?

Are you pointing to /community folder?

Make sure to change your bookmarks. Finally, host providers will block new IP until few days. Do not know why. They do not clean their caches.

Thank you

Any easy way  to see last topic posted in each subject on mobile site?  Very difficult to navigate.  To see last post I have to click on top, then have to click on last page, then have to scroll all the way down to last post.

Are you using Tapatalk? If so delete from your device than reinstall. Find the forum. Mobile site is not as good as tap.

Anyone who uses defunct  e-mail addresses will have problem in communications.

Adetur - change your e-mail address as I have no ability contact you. Each e-mail is rejected from my personal (provider of my cable) and this server.

Seeing this behavior I expect that your provider is blocking you from seeing things in internet without your consent.

The best way to find out is try clear your browsing history, means delete it. So people use old browsers. Upgrade those as well.

Migration has been complete.

I have added two companies to solar roster.

Based on the cost. I will be offering yearly subscription for $85 in December.

The site is saved and will be in operation without any concerns. I have saved some of the earnings to ensure that.

Enjoy it.

PS. During migration database was not updated with certain posts. Due to nature of those posts I think this is not a loss. The reminder to all members of this forum of civility and use of proper language. I only know of one alternate forum which is private and has large population. I doubt they allow this there as well.

Finally my objective as you can see from the yearly offer, is to reduce costs while uphold value. The benefits of large scale site come from advertising. If this can be accomplished, the prices will drop accordingly. A year offer is $7 CAD/month. This is about $5 US. 90% on site are US residents. I think price is reasonable already, but my mission is to popularize solar and unite solar investors.

Thank you

Robert Dydo

There is a problem with Tapatalk, it appears on their site. Site can be used on mobile devices as it is responsive, but it takes some getting use to it. I will check with Tapatalk occasionally if it is resolved.

Buyers of full year may receive monthly invoice. Do not pay this one. They do not converge.

Just a reminder to those who pay monthly. We have full year membership which offers 6.66 per month against monthly cost of $9.99. It is a most convenient way to membership.

Hi  Everyone,

Your contributions keep us around since 2011 and the site will have 5 year anniversary in on April 1st, 2016

As part of this great milestone I want to let you know that our most popular membership access "Solar Investors Year" will cost only $70 per year now. All members who have this membership will be enjoying renewals at this price going forward.

We have few members who still pay $9.99 per month. The latest yearly offer is $5.84 per month That is a 42% less than monthly rate.

SPVI"s objective is to become a low cost, popular choice of forum site for investors in solar stocks. This is why free registration allows a full access to all threads with exception of  CSIQ, TSL, JKS, JASO, and the most popular, Trading forum.

Thank you for your support and all the best,

Robert Dydo

Note to the buyers who have opted for subscription profile within Paypal.

Unfortunately, while PayPal can accept the subscription, and bill you every 30 days, the forum software is not updating your membership accordingly, turning this into a manual process on my side. I have created invoices, which are paid, adding to the confusion. I have turned this ability off internally. I strongly encourage to purchase full year, and you have no issues for 12 months, and you pay a lot less for it.

There were 5 active subscritions. Do not get alarmed please as far as your membership goes everything is fine.

Hi there,

SPVI has turned five years April 1, 2016

Interesting five years for sure. Here it is to next five years.

New Subscription Rates $7 per month and $60 per year. They are available to everyone right now.

Even SA is becoming a bit of a yahoo. I see people cursing, posting nonsense. I guess this is too many members, not enough moderation condition. Hopefully, more people will join us. If not well we will remain in our small group.

I plan to do next review in July and hopefully able to reduce prices if enough advertising revenue is collected. If advertisers are visited this helps.

Thank you  to all the members for the support.

Robert

Hi all,

We did a full circle in last 5 years. Once again Solar PV Forums are free to use, including CSIQ and JKS threads. Good news all the library of ideas is also free to access. Only two paid forums are left Trading and Beyond solar. Hopefully, those threads will continue to fuel financial support for the site, along the advertisers, so if you check the ads you are helping us.

thanks

Hello all,

While the solar has proven to be tough to predict this year, the forum is moving toward a free environment.

First, with the exception of Trading access at $20 per year, all other forums are open.

Second, those who post over 200 posts in the lifetime of their membership will gain access to all forums, including paid one.

Third everyone with over 2000 posts is a lifetime member, a name change for those who have made most contribution to show appreciation.

In this dramatic move to free forum, the forum has lost revenue to support itself from the large portion of the membership, since all above will have free access. For those who has shown the care in the past and wanted to continue to support SPVI, I have created a donation page.

http://solarpvinvestor.com/clients/donations/

You can also click the block showing total donations, to have an opportunity to donate.

be aware that payments made toward Trading access will be applied to the goal, to lower the total amount.

Thank you and all the best in exchanging ideas

Every time we have the upgrade of the site, the selection of stocks gets confused especially with not having selection made. You may want to review your selections and update accordingly.

If you have a moment please update the holdings in your profile.

Changing in the list causes allocation of stocks, which is not accurate.

Hello All,

As the new year comes upon us, there are a couple of changes moving forward about the forum.

As you know, I tried to make the site as free as possible without the need to pay out of pocket costs. I wanted to attract interest and by doing so perhaps gain advertising income.

Well, it did not work as I planned. 2017/2018 August will be a year of transition. I will pay for 2017/2018 from the current fees, and residual of the income SPVInvestor received in the past as well as my contribution. The site once more will become completely free to anyone in all threads as of today, as long as they are registered.

To keep the site going we will rely on donations. The link below leads to the area to donate; I also posted all over results of donating. Those donations will keep us online for 2018/2019 if we do not generate enough, the site will close. Hopefully, six years online will not go away due to lack of funding.  I will still cover for any software updates and cost of usage, plus I will contribute any SA income for the site purpose.

Thank you for your support

Hi all,

I just registered the domain solarpvinvestor.com till 2021.

I have also covered the payment for 2018 July.

Finally, I have renegotiated the cost till 2020 or the price of one year now covering two years.

Hosting got cheaper on the market.

Donations can be made at Paypal at amounts you wish. The cost is in Canadian dollars.
