Hoping for good numbers! AAPL 4Q14 Apple reported earnings per share of $1.42 on revenue of $42.1 billion, easily beating analysts' expectations. The company also gave sales guidance for the current quarter of $63.5 billion to $66.5 billion, versus a Wall Street estimate of $63.5 billion. Demand is "off the charts" for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, said Tim Cook, Apple's CEO. He noted that the company is "excited by initial results for iPhone 6 in China." The company sold 39.3 million iPhones during the quarter. Analysts had expected the company to report earnings of $1.31 a share on $39.88 billion in revenue, according to a consensus estimate from Thomson Reuters. http://www.cnbc.com/id/102098850

What a great run from the markets last 3 days. Nasdaq now up 55 points. MMs worked hard to keep csiq down all day. Its amazing to me their ability to drop the price 40c in a couple of trades of few thousand shares, while it takes almost 3 million shares to bring it up by 90cents. Edit: S&P just got back 200 dma!! edit2: It took 100k shares to move stock up by 4 cents.

BIPV, isn't your view of downstream business contradictory? If the competition is so robust , resulting in driving margins to zero, why would anyone get involved in such a business? Wouldn't then something else become a focal point? Perhaps a developer with manufacturing park? Your vision is the end of solar, or more solar less value in it, for sure. Have we not seen the same rhetoric every year, yet we are still here, and now we focus on 4 Chinese companies instead of 11? The margins, which suppose to not exist do exist.

The margin distribution in the value-chain fluctuate over time. If you could make money by not making panels (and their components) it would be to easy to make money. Their is no eternally beneficial part of a stream. You need to integrate it to avoid risk of margin instability. This has to be put against utilization risks and cash flow considerations.
